Do You Trust God’s Word?

Today is truly a time in history where it is so important that the Bible becomes the foundation on which our lives are built. We must learn to trust God’s word with everything that we are.

I believe that the word of God has to become the one thing we rely on because it seems like everything in the world cannot be trusted. We need to become better students and allow the word to root deeply in our hearts so that we can endure any challenge.

We Used To Take People At Their Word

There was a day when you could take a person at their word. If someone said they would get you some money, you would likely start planning how you would use it.

This is the way we should react in faith when we hear words that we truly believe. Since we believe what we just heard, we act on what was said to us.

This sheds light on how important it is that we take the word we hear from God and hold it in high esteem over everything else.

Trust The Coach

How many athletes have heard their coach tell them that they’re going to start during the big game and became ecstatic when they heard that. The game could be several days away, yet those words generated an expectation that when the game came around, they were going to be on the starting lineup.

It is a fact that the coach said that they would be in the game stirs up such belief in them that they start planning what they’re going to do. Those words of faith and Confidence from the coach can supercharge a player and fill them with such excitement that they actually go out and go beyond the level of play that they’re used to.

Believe What God Says

Similarly, some believers find it hard to believe and act on the Promises they hear from the scriptures. God’s word should stir them up to push further and go farther than they ever have before in faith. If Christians can trust the words of others, why can’t they trust the word of the Lord?

One reason that stands out as to why they don’t receive from God is they just don’t take him at his word. They don’t rely on his promises and go out to try and make things happen in their life. They’ve never truly learned that they could trust God’s word.

Another big reason that Christians don’t take God at his word is that although they believe he is able to answer, they aren’t so sure that he is willing. Some even think that answered prayer is a thing of the past.

The Bible is clear that we must believe that we receive the answer to our prayers before we actually see the answer to our prayers. Jesus said himself that when we pray, we must believe we have received the answer before we actually see it manifest.

This mindset is something we do in our everyday lives. We wouldn’t sit down on a chair if we didn’t believe it could hold our weight. We wouldn’t go out and buy things if we didn’t believe we could actually pay them back, all things being equal.

You Act On What You Believe

Our actions reflect what we believe inside. This also goes for the spiritual Realm. We can believe God and therefore act on what he has said.

All throughout the word, we see that when people acted on what Jesus said, Supernatural results occurred. Even Jesus’ disciples acted on his instructions when it seemed like the circumstances were the complete opposite.

Do you remember that time when Jesus told Peter to cast out his Nets again? He was a skilled fisherman, yet he believed what Jesus said and was obedient. As a result, he caught more fish than his boat could hold.

Obey God’s Word

This is a wonderful biblical principle for all of us to live by. When we obey what God says, we will experience his Supernatural results. If we put our trust in his infallible promises, We will see the impossible become possible right before our eyes.

We need to strive to get to this place where we walk with the Lord and believe his word. When we see something in the Bible, or we hear a scripture spoken to us, we should respond immediately in faith, trusting God. We can trust God because he will never fail us.
